DAVID HENRY RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL BLACK CORPORATE DIRECTORS IN THE US BY SAVOY MAGAZINE

Savoy, the leading African American business, culture and lifestyle magazine announces its prestigious list of the Most Influential Black Corporate Directors for their Fall 2021 issue

Savoy magazine today announced its list of 2021 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors, including NETGEAR’s own David Henry, president and GM of Connected Home Products and Services. The fall issue of Savoy features a directory of 704 directors serving on the boards of public companies, representing an elite assembly of African American men and women recognized for their executive and business leadership.

The fall 2021 dual cover, double edition of Savoy spans two magazines, one featuring Kenneth Chenault, former Chairman and CEO of American Express, on the cover, and Kenneth Frazier, Executive Chairman of Merck, gracing the other. Henry is in good company, listed among celebrities and athletes serving on corporate boards, such as Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter (Square), Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. (DICK’s Sporting Goods), Shaquille O’Neal (Papa John’s International), Serena Williams (Momentive & Poshmark), and Oprah Winfrey (WW International).

A 17-year NETGEAR veteran, Henry started his career as the Sr Product Line Manager for wireless router products where he launched NETGEAR’s RangeMax™ product line, which propelled the company into the premium WiFi market. Over the course of his career Henry has expanded the WiFi category and fostered the company’s industry leadership. He is responsible for the launch of several of NETGEAR’s flagship product lines including Nighthawk™, Orbi™, and Nighthawk Pro Gaming.

Currently, Henry leads the product marketing, product management, and engineering organizations for NETGEAR and is spearheading the transformation of the Connected Home business from hardware-based products to a subscription-service business with value-added services such as NETGEAR Armor™ and Smart Parental Controls. He joined NETGEAR’s board of directors in July of this year.

“Savoy continues to be at the forefront of comprehensive coverage of the professional success and achievements of African Americans,” Savoy’s CEO & Publisher L.P. Green, II said. “We offer congratulations and appreciation to the directors recognized in Savoy’s 2021 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors edition for their inspiring leadership.”
