NETGEAR INTRODUCES MOBILE DATA PLANS FOR ARLO GO MOBILE HD SECURITY CAMERAS

Use as much or as little data as you want, for as long as you need, with no contract

SAN JOSE, California — May 23, 2017 — NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR), the worldwide leader in home networking and smart home security products, is rolling out mobile data plans for its award-winning Arlo® Go Mobile HD Security Camera (LTE-VML4030). As a 100% wire-free and mobile HD camera for surveillance, security, and monitoring even in remote locations, Arlo Go is ideal for outdoor spaces without WiFi access or available power. Operating on 3G/4G-LTE networks, Arlo Go enables you to monitor your assets, providing peace of mind for larger properties without available WiFi as well as in hotel rooms, cabins, boat docks or simply outdoor locations.

The new Arlo Mobile data plan makes using your Arlo Go a whole lot easier. You won’t have to shop for or sign up for a subscription plan with a mobile broadband service provider, as NETGEAR takes care of everything. Arlo Mobile plans are simple, flexible and convenient to fit your needs so you can use as much or as little data as you need, without hassles, complicated contracts or long-term commitments. You can put your subscription plan on hold whenever you want, for as long as you want, and it’s all in one app and one bill.

Arlo Go comes pre-activated with 15 minutes’ worth of video clips so you can start using your Arlo Go right away. After downloading the app, you’ll be up and running in minutes and when you’ve used up your included video minutes, you can easily purchase more through your app or via the web.

NETGEAR is currently offering three service options1 :

  • 15 minutes, $4.99/month: 1 clip/day or 30 clips/month at 30 secs/clip
  • 120 minutes, $22.99/month: 8 clips/day or 240 clips/month at 30 secs/clip
  • 225 minutes, $32.99/month: 15 clips/day or 450 clips/month at 30 secs/clip

Arlo Go Mobile HD Security Camera
A 2017 CES Innovation Award Honoree, Arlo Go Mobile HD Security Camera is the world's first 100% wire-free mobile security video solution. Arlo Go operates on 3G/4G-LTE networks, providing security video monitoring when roaming or in areas with limited or no WiFi access and even locations without available power outlets. With the included rechargeable battery, Arlo Go is expected to provide nearly 3 months of operation 2 before recharging is needed.

Without the dependency on an existing WiFi connection, Arlo Go can be deployed and re-deployed quickly. With Arlo Go's advanced PIR motion sensor, you are notified whenever there is motion within the camera's 130-degree field of view. Through Arlo's mobile and browser apps, you get a live, on-demand view of the location as well as the ability to easily play previously recorded videos from nearly anywhere in the world. Arlo Go includes a rolling seven days of cloud storage as part of the data plan, so you can record, review, save and share videos from the app, available for Android, Apple iOS and Apple TV. Optional, subscription-based cloud storage service plans are available for Arlo systems of more than five cameras or for storing of recordings beyond the free 7-day plan.

Two-way audio offers you the ability to hear and speak through the camera and provides you the added benefit of being able to respond immediately even when off-site. Even in the dead of night, the Arlo Go camera's advanced RGB-IR night vision technology provides a clear picture of the scene. Arlo Go also comes equipped with a micro SD memory card* slot for easy local video backup.

The Arlo Go Mobile HD Security Camera (LTE-VML4030) by NETGEAR is available for an MSRP of $429.99 in the U.S. Arlo Go is also available from Verizon.
