“We’re pleased to complement our already extensive business solution portfolio with our first outdoor wireless access point as well as our first access point using dual band 802.11ac WiFi, the next-generation in wireless technology,” said Peter Newton, senior director of product management for NETGEAR’s Commercial Business Unit. “We’ve also refreshed two of our popular firewalls and a rack-mount ReadyNAS storage appliance with new, more powerful processors to provide significantly improved performance but with the same lower total cost of ownership.”

He added, “We believe NETGEAR products’ industry-leading combination of capabilities, performance, reliability, and warranty coverage will resonate well with value-added resellers and systems integrators who are searching for high value solutions for business customers.”

Dual Band High Powered 802.11n Outdoor Access Point (WND930)

The new NETGEAR WND930 Weatherproof Outdoor Access Point extends network reach beyond fixed walls to provide WiFi access for outdoor environments. It is an ideal solution for hotels, resorts, schools, healthcare facilities, multi-dwelling apartments, and other organizations needing high-throughput, high-capacity outdoor wireless coverage for parks, playing fields, pool areas, parking lots, and other sites.

The WND930 is a dual band concurrent 802.11n Outdoor Access Point that offers up to 500 mW of RF output power combined with a high gain internal antenna to maximize coverage. The internal directional antenna of the WND930 enables it to operate as?a point-to-point mesh link between remote locations, or it can operate in access point mode with an external antenna option for 360-degree coverage. It is powered by redundant dual Power over Ethernet (PoE) Gigabit ports and also has the capability to directly power other PoE devices such as surveillance cameras. Designed for easy setup, the WND930 comes with wall mounting and pole mounting kits for flexible deployment options. The robust WND930 has an IP-67 industrial grade enclosure with an embedded heater that enables it to operate in temperatures below freezing.

The new WND930 Outdoor Access Point is backed by the NETGEAR 2-Year Limited Hardware Warranty along with 2-Year Next Business Day Shipping for part replacement and 24x7 Lifetime Technical Support. The WND930 is available this month at an MSRP of $1,199 in the U.S.

“I have implemented the WND930 Access Point for our staff at our new office in Winchester," said Ben Pintilie, chief technology officer of conference call provider Babl.biz. “When the unit arrived, I was really surprised by the different mounting options that were available straight out the box. The initial installation and configuration process was simple, and when I started up the Access Point I found the wide coverage area to be a real benefit. The PoE capability is important as it enables us to power an external security camera without losing a port on our switch. I knew I could count on NETGEAR to deliver the right solution to meet our needs.”

Dual Band 802.11ac Wireless Access Point (WAC120)

The new NETGEAR Dual Band 802.11ac Wireless Access Point delivers?high performance, next-generation WiFi for small business environments and is ideal for users deploying one or two access points in their offices or branch locations to connect laptops, smartphones, tablets, VoIP phones, and surveillance cameras. Interoperable with both new and legacy clients, it supports dual band concurrent operation at 2.4GHz and 5GHz with combined throughput of up to 1.2 Gbps* (300 Mbps at 2.4GHz and 867 Mbps at 5GHz), up to four times the speed of previous-generation 802.11n networks. Offering superior coverage and comprehensive security features, the WAC120 Access Point is designed for standalone, desktop configuration with easy setup.

The new WAC120 Access Point is backed by the NETGEAR 3-Year Limited Hardware Warranty along with 3-Year Next Business Day Shipping for part replacement and 24x7 Lifetime Technical Support. The WAC120 is available now at an MSRP of $159 in the U.S.

ProSAFE 8-Port Gigabit VPN Firewall (FVS318G-200)

The NETGEAR ProSAFE FVS318G VPN Firewall is designed to offer security, remote access and reliability for small business environments with five to ten users. The FVS318G integrates a powerful firewall with IPsec VPN tunnels. Its software-configurable hardware DMZ port supports public-facing server (e.g., web server) installations. Putting these servers on a DMZ segment enables the FVS318G to offer maximum security by segregating publicly accessible servers from private assets, such as client laptops and desktops. A built-in eight-port Gigabit switch simplifies LAN connectivity.

A faster processor with hardware acceleration powers the new edition of the FVS318G, with the result that WAN-to-LAN throughput performance has increased tenfold, up to 250 Mbps, at the same affordable price point. This additional, excess capacity eliminates bottlenecks and promises that growing businesses will have strong, reliable connectivity even as service providers roll out new, upgraded broadband speeds.

The FVS318G is backed by the industry-leading NETGEAR ProSAFE Lifetime Hardware Warranty, Lifetime Next Business Day Shipping for part replacement, and 24x7 Lifetime Technical Support. The new edition of FVS318G is available this month at an MSRP of $202 in the U.S.

ProSAFE 4-Port Dual WAN Gigabit Firewall (FVS336G-300)

The NETGEAR ProSAFE Dual WAN Gigabit Firewall with SSL and IPsec VPN offers the best of both worlds by supporting two types of VPN tunnels, SSL and IPsec, for optimal secure network connections for a 50-user office. Backed by a true firewall, this VPN router is a high-performance, SNMP-manageable, network solution that furnishes multidimensional security including DoS protection, SPI, URL keyword filtering, logging, reporting, and real-time alerts. Four Gigabit LAN ports keep data moving at top speed while dual Gigabit WAN ports provide load-balancing and failover protection to ensure maximum throughput and reliable connectivity to the Internet.

With its new, faster CPU with hardware acceleration, the refreshed FVS336G supports WAN-to-LAN throughput up to 350 Mbps, which is 10 times the previous edition, for the same cost-effective price. This excess headroom is more than sufficient for growing businesses, schools, and other organizations, for now and in years to come.

The FVS336G is backed by the industry-leading NETGEAR ProSAFE Lifetime Hardware Warranty, Lifetime Next Business Day Shipping for part replacement, and 24x7 Lifetime Technical Support. The new edition of FVS336G is available now at an MSRP of $374 in the U.S.

The four-bay ReadyNAS 2120 is a 1U form factor for easy rack deployment in small office environments, designed to service from five to 25 simultaneous users.

The refreshed ReadyNAS 2120 has a new and more powerful CPU that offers up to 20 percent improvement in performance, at an affordable price point that is up to 20 percent lower than the earlier edition.

ReadyNAS 2120 is backed by the NETGEAR 5-Year Limited Hardware Warranty along with 5-Year Next Business Day Shipping for part replacement and 24x7 Lifetime Technical Support.
