Wipro’s Innovation Network is a global initiative dedicated to fostering co-innovation with clients and forging strategic partnerships across diverse sectors, including industry, academia, startups, and the broader ecosystem.

At the heart of this network lies Wipro’s Innovation Lab at its Kodathi campus in Bengaluru. This “Experience Centre,” the first of its kind for Wipro, serves as a collaborative hub where clients can explore possibilities and engage in joint prototyping.

Previous iterations of Wipro’s commitment to cutting-edge technology include the Google Gemini Experience Zone. Initially hosted at Wipro’s Silicon Valley center and subsequently expanded to Bengaluru, this zone provided hands-on exploration of generative AI capabilities through Google’s Gemini models and Vertex AI.

SUMMARY

Wipro set out to build a world-class Technology Innovation Lab, an immersive Experience Centre designed to highlight its deep domain expertise and advanced capabilities across key sectors such as Healthcare, Aerospace, Retail, and Industrial Automation. The objective was to create a dynamic environment for showcasing business-transforming solutions through live Proof of Concepts (PoCs), powered by next-generation technologies including Cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The project was a collaborative effort involving Wipro’s marketing, communications, and technology teams. Together, they conceptualized and delivered high-impact, visually engaging experience zones that encourage collaboration and effectively communicate Wipro’s engineering excellence and technological leadership. A key highlight of the Centre is the integrated Audio-Visual (AV) ecosystem, which supports interactive demonstrations and storytelling through immersive technology.

The AV infrastructure plays a pivotal role in positioning the Experience Centre as a benchmark for innovation and client engagement, seamlessly merging cutting-edge tech with narrative-driven presentations.

This visionary project was successfully delivered in collaboration with MetaHive Design Consulting Private Limited, Bangalore, whose consulting expertise played a crucial role in bringing the Experience Centre to life.

BACKGROUND

Wipro’s Innovation Network – Experience Centers are dynamic platforms where groundbreaking ideas are transformed into tangible, actionable solutions. These centers serve as collaborative hubs, uniting clients, domain experts, and technologists to explore and co-create cutting-edge innovations collectively.

Through interactive workshops and live demonstrations, the Experience Centers bring transformative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and quantum computing to life. Clients are empowered to engage directly with Wipro’s experts, facilitating the rapid conversion of concepts into scalable solutions that deliver significant business impact.

This collaborative approach dramatically accelerates innovation cycles, reduces time-to-market for new solutions, and ultimately strengthens organizations’ competitive edge in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. CHALLENGE

Wipro envisioned the creation of an immersive, state-of-the-art technology innovation lab an “Experience Centre” designed to prominently display its leadership in advanced research and capabilities across diverse sectors including Healthcare, Aerospace, Retail, and Industrial Automation. The core objective was to cultivate an engaging environment that not only exhibited Wipro’s innovations but also demonstrated business-impacting solutions through Proof of Concepts, leveraging the latest advancements in Cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The project necessitated a highly immersive, interactive, and modular environment capable of addressing diverse client requirements while seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technologies. This included everything from 8K immersive displays and Virtual Reality (VR) to sophisticated audio systems, gamification, and real-time collaborative tools. A significant layer of complexity was added by the ambitious three-month timeline for execution, with the Experience Centre’s grand opening pre-scheduled and non-negotiable.

SOLUTION

In close collaboration with Wipro’s marketing, communications, and technology teams, BT Convergence designed and delivered a visually and technologically immersive Experience Centre. This innovative solution seamlessly integrates storytelling, cutting-edge technology, and interactive elements, firmly positioning Wipro as a benchmark for innovation and customer engagement.

Key Highlights of the Deployment

The Experience Centre boasts several standout features:

  • Multi-Layer Active LED Branding Wall: Located at the reception, this wall features asymmetric visuals, creating a striking “WOW” factor for visitors.
  • Convex Welcome Display with Naked Eye 3D Technology: This display greets visitors with personalized, visually captivating content, providing an immediate immersive experience.
  • Immersive 8K Concave LED with VR: Designed to highlight quantum computing and industrial innovations, this feature delivers highly interactive and engaging experiences.
  • Interactive Projection-Mapped Floor: Utilizing dual projectors and transparent LED screens, this floor enables gamified visitor engagement, adding a playful and memorable dimension.
  • Flexible Experience Zones: These modular zones feature 105″ 21:9 interactive displays, wireless content sharing, ceiling tile microphones, and directional sound systems, allowing for tailored experiences across various industry verticals.
  • 100-Seater Forum Hall: Equipped with advanced video conferencing and intelligent camera tracking, this hall facilitates dynamic collaboration and presentations.
  • Portable Studio Kit: This versatile kit enables recording of client feedback and leadership interviews, also serving as a dedicated content creation hub.

TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The robust technical infrastructure underpins the seamless functionality of the Experience Centre:

  • Video System: A centralized uncompressed 4K/8K video distribution system leverages Analog Way and Disguise media servers, Lightware UBEX AV-over-IP systems, and NETGEAR’s 10G/1G managed switches. This ensures seamless content delivery and real-time interactivity throughout the center.
  • Audio System: A distributed Dante-based audio architecture, powered by Sennheiser, Xilica, NEXO, Harman, and NETGEAR, provides crystal-clear messaging, immersive soundscapes, and precisely targeted audio delivery.
  • Control System: AMX Muse processors, Lutron Quantum, and BrightSign solutions are integrated into a networked architecture with Lightware control features, enabling intuitive management across all zones.

EXECUTION EXCELLENCE

Despite a highly compressed timeline, BT Convergence successfully completed the entire deployment within an impressive three months. The complex integration of numerous AV and IT components, including three 96-port 10G switches and two 52-port 1G switches, was achieved through close collaboration with NETGEAR, ensuring both seamless operation and scalability for future enhancements.

RESULTS

The Wipro Experience Centre successfully launched and has now been operational for three months, consistently hosting an average of 2–3 customer visits daily with zero downtime. This immersive and interactive environment has not only met but significantly exceeded Wipro’s initial expectations by:
