CHALLENGE

Like many premium commercial developments, One Raffles Quay needed to enhance its public spaces with modern digital experiences while maintaining the sophisticated aesthetic that defines the property.
The challenges were significant:
• An aggressive 23-day timeline from design through commissioning (April 22 – May 15, 2025)
• Installation within a live pedestrian environment with high foot traffic requiring careful coordination
• Semi-outdoor exposure demanding weather-resistant equipment capable of handling Singapore’s tropical conditions
• Integration requirements for diverse content types including signage, presentations, and live streaming
• The need for enterprise-grade network performance with zero tolerance for downtime
The project team, including AV consultant Arup and content provider Cfire, needed a solution that could deliver professional-grade performance while remaining intuitive enough for non-technical staff to operate effectively.

SOLUTION

After extensive evaluation, the team selected Spectrum Audio Visual to engineer and deploy a comprehensive AV solution built around large-format LED displays, professional audio systems, and robust network infrastructure. The solution was implemented across multiple zones throughout the Garden Plaza and adjoining areas, with redundant network configurations ensuring reliable operation.
The implementation supports a complete digital signage network with two large-format Planar P2.5mm LED video walls, professional JBL and Electro-Voice speaker systems for both events and ambient audio, and an IP-based AV distribution system using Kramer encoders and decoders. NETGEAR managed switches serve as the backbone for control systems, content management, and live streaming capabilities through integrated PTZ cameras.
