24 Port Switches 

A 24 port switch typically supports Gigabit speeds (10/100/1000 Mbps) on each port, making it suitable for most business and office networks. Higher-end models may offer multi-gig ports or 10-Gigabit ports and uplinks for faster data transfer and better performance under heavy workloads. Always check if uplink port style, ethernet, or support SFP or SFP+ for fiber connections, especially in high-traffic environments. If your setup is simple, an unmanaged switch may be enough.

A 24 port switch can work well in retail environments, but it depends on your requirements. If you're running multiple POS systems, IP cameras, back-office PCs, and digital signage, it offers enough ports to connect everything centrally. For larger spaces or multiple floors, you may need additional switches or uplink capacity to avoid bottlenecks. Opt for managed switches if you want to monitor traffic or segment devices for security.

Start by looking at how many devices need wired connections and whether any of them require PoE. If they do, you’ll need a switch with enough power budget to support them.

For growing networks, managed switches offer more control and flexibility. Make sure it supports Gigabit speeds on every port and includes fast uplinks to prevent slowdowns. If your setup is simple, an unmanaged switch may be enough.
