화재 이후 일류 시설로의 도약
2022년 대형 화재로 시설의 90%가 파괴된 이후, 네덜란드의 NBC 컨퍼런스 센터는 이를 계기로 AV 인프라를 새롭게 구축했습니다. AVEX와의 파트너십 및 NETGEAR의 최첨단 AV over IP 네트워킹을 기반으로 이제 이 장소는 매일 1,000개가 넘는 네트워크 연결을 제공하며, Crestron DM NVX, Dante 및 NDI를 원활하게 지원합니다.

When disaster strikes, some venues rebuild. Others seize the opportunity to revolutionise their industry. The NBC Conference Centre in Nieuwegein, Netherlands, chose the latter path, and the results are nothing short of extraordinary. The story begins with heartbreak. After surviving the pandemic’s devastating impact on the events industry, NBC Conference Centre faced another crushing blow: a massive fire in September 2022 that damaged 90% of their facility. The cruel irony? They had completed a major AV upgrade just three weeks before the fire striking. But rather than restore what was lost, owner Justin van Hooijdonk and trusted partner AVEX, who have been working together for an incredible 32 years, saw an opportunity to create something unprecedented.

Engineering the Impossible
The vision was ambitious: a venue that could seamlessly transform from intimate 20-person meetings to massive 2,650-person conferences with the click of a button. This required solving complex technical challenges that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.
At the heart of this transformation lies cutting-edge AV over IP technology powered by NETGEAR’s comprehensive networking infrastructure. The solution handles over 1,000 network connections daily, supporting multiple professional protocols including Crestron DM NVX, Dante audio networking, and NDI video streaming, all working in perfect harmony.

The transformation has been nothing short of spectacular. NBC Conference Centre reopened as a technological marvel that earned recognition as the winner of the 2025 Inavation Awards Venues and Events Spaces project category.
The venue now operates with unprecedented reliability and flexibility. Rooms can be combined or separated with a single click, content streams seamlessly to any combination of spaces, and the system handles everything from intimate breakout sessions to massive plenary presentations, all while maintaining the simplicity that staff need for daily operations.
