NETGEAR® Provides Customers Protection for Life with Launch of Lifetime Hardware Warranty for ProSafe® Line of Business-Class Networking Solutions
NETGEAR Lifetime Hardware Warranty is Valid on All Current ProSafe Switches, Firewalls and Wireless Access Points
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – May 1, 2007 – NETGEAR, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTGR), a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, today announced that its ProSafe line of business class networking solutions now comes standard with a lifetime hardware warranty, delivering added peace-of-mind to small- and medium-sized businesses and making a definitive statement regarding the outstanding quality and reliability of its industry-leading line of ProSafe switches, security and wireless products.
Effective immediately, NETGEAR ProSafe products shipping worldwide after May 1, 2007, will be covered by a new lifetime hardware warranty that provides hardware replacement, including fan and internal power supply failures, for as long as the original customer owns the product. The new warranty applies across the ProSafe product line including NETGEAR’s Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switches, Smart Switches, unmanaged switches, wired and wireless VPN firewalls, VPN gateways, SSL VPN concentrators, and wireless access points.
“While the functionality, value and ease-of-use are all critical aspects that we consider in the selection of networking solutions for our clients, perhaps even more important is the strength of the vendors’ technical support program and product warranties,” explained Nathan Rockhold, President at R Cubed Technologies. “Our customers look to us to provide networking solutions that meet their needs today, while providing them with the scalability to grow their network in the future. Giving them the peace-of-mind in knowing that their investments in network infrastructure hardware are protected goes a long way to close a deal and there is no better protection than a lifetime warranty. This new lifetime warranty program will undoubtedly make NETGEAR a popular solution for our clients.”
“NETGEAR has enjoyed great success and has achieved market leadership in the SMB segment due to its dedication to delivering innovative, affordable, feature-rich networking solutions that help support the unique, demanding needs of fast-growing businesses,” explained Vivek Pathela, Vice President of Product Marketing at NETGEAR. “Thanks to innovative product offerings like our Stackable Smart Switches, Power-over-Ethernet switches, SSL concentrators and business-class wireless access points, more and more businesses are selecting NETGEAR for their business networking needs. Even though our products are among the most reliable in the industry, our new Lifetime Warranty gives users the peace-of-mind that they can build a NETGEAR-based infrastructure that will not only support future growth, but that their investment will be protected for a lifetime.”
