SANTA CLARA, Calif. — January 8, 2007 — NETGEAR, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTGR), a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, today announced the winner of the “NETGEAR 2007 CES Blogger-in-Residence” competition. The winning contestant, Dave Zatz – chosen from a strong line-up of over 60 blogger entrants – will produce a blog from NETGEAR’s booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center, documenting the events of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Dave Zatz will also receive round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, Nevada, paid accommodation for the duration of the show (January 7-12), a $2,000 cash purse, an expense allowance and other miscellaneous prizes.

With over 140,000 page views a month, Zatz Not Funny! highlights the latest home entertainment and digital media news, and has been in existence for nearly two years. As the winner of the “NETGEAR 2007 CES Blogger-in-Residence” competition, Dave will produce up to three daily postings about what is happening at the tradeshow in general and about the innovations at the NETGEAR booth. This blog will be hosted on NETGEAR’s community website at: http://www.netgear.com/Community, and a podcast of winning contestant, Dave Zatz, is available at NETGEAR’s “Live From CES” site: http://www.netgear.com/CES.

“We are delighted to have Dave join the NETGEAR team and blog from our booth at the Consumer Electronics Show,” stated Doug Hagan, director of Americas marketing for NETGEAR. “This contest is a great chance for NETGEAR to support the blogger community and for all those consumers who are unable to attend the show in person to benefit from Dave’s unique perspective in his daily postings online.”

“This is such an exciting opportunity,” said Dave Zatz, winner of the “NETGEAR 2007 CES Blogger-in-Residence” contest. “When I learned of this competition through the blogosphere, I knew I had to enter. I’ve never been to the Consumer Electronics Show before, so I am looking forward to providing a new perspective on the latest innovations the industry has to offer. I can’t wait to circle the show floor and see all of the new products that are unveiled and blog about them.”

In order to have been eligible for the “NETGEAR 2007 CES Blogger-in-Residence” contest, participants must have been 21 years of age or older, a legal resident of the continental United States, and have actively maintained an online blog for at least six months prior to submitting an entry.
