Audiovisuelle Signale werden als Datentraffic \u00fcber Standardnetzwerke \u00fcbertragen \u2013 oft \u00fcber Glasfaserverbindungen mit optischen Transceivermodulen wie SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP und QSFP28.<\/em><br data-start=\"383\" data-end=\"386\" \/><em>Aber was passiert mit diesen Modulen nach jahrelanger intensiver Nutzung?<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"789\">In mehreren gro\u00dfen Theatern, in denen unsere AV-Switches seit 6 bis 7 Jahren im Einsatz sind, haben wir k\u00fcrzlich Ausf\u00e4lle bei Glasfaserverbindungen festgestellt.<br data-start=\"622\" data-end=\"625\" \/>Keine direkten Kabelbr\u00fcche, sondern Module mit sinkender optischer Leistung, instabile Verbindungen (<em data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"741\">Link Flapping<\/em>) und Fehlermeldungen ohne eindeutige Ursache.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"832\">Das f\u00fchrte mich zu einer wichtigen Frage:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"944\"><strong data-start=\"838\" data-end=\"944\">Nutzen sich Glasfasermodule in AV-over-IP-Netzwerken schneller ab als in traditionellen IT-Umgebungen?<\/strong><\/p>\n    <\/div>\n        <div id=\"topic2\" class=\"skip-item\">\n                        <h2>AV over IP vs. traditionelle IT-Netzwerke<\/h2>\n                <p data-start=\"183\" data-end=\"630\">In einer AV-over-IP-Infrastruktur flie\u00dfen enorme Datenmengen kontinuierlich durch das Netzwerk.<br data-start=\"278\" data-end=\"281\" \/>Man denke an dutzende gleichzeitige HD- oder 4K-Videostreams, Live-Kamerafeeds oder mehrkanaliges Audio.<br data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"388\" \/><em data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"398\">Switches<\/em> und Transceiver laufen dabei oft rund um die Uhr mit (nahezu) voller Auslastung.<br data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"482\" \/>Das ist ein ganz anderes Szenario als in klassischen IT-Netzwerken, wo die Auslastung schwankt und es w\u00e4hrend der Nebenzeiten zu Entlastungen kommt.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"997\">In einem B\u00fcronetzwerk wird beispielsweise eine 10G-Verbindung nur gelegentlich f\u00fcr Backups oder Datei\u00fcbertragungen genutzt.<br data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"758\" \/>In einer AV-Umgebung hingegen kann dieselbe Verbindung rund um die Uhr einen unkomprimierten 4K-Videostream \u00fcbertragen.<br data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"880\" \/>Der Transceiver muss dauerhaft arbeiten, was zu h\u00f6heren Temperaturen und erh\u00f6hter Belastung seiner Komponenten f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n        <div id=\"topic3\" class=\"skip-item\">\n                        <h2>Hitze \u2013 der stille Feind<\/h2>\n                <p data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1405\">Hitze ist ein entscheidender Faktor f\u00fcr Verschlei\u00df.<br data-start=\"1089\" data-end=\"1092\" \/>Module, die dauerhaft mit hoher Geschwindigkeit betrieben werden, erhitzen sich st\u00e4rker als solche, die nur gelegentlich aktiv sind.<br data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1227\" \/>Und wie in der Elektronik bekannt: <strong data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1330\">Jede Temperaturerh\u00f6hung um 10\u202f\u00b0C kann die Lebensdauer halbieren.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1333\" \/>In schlecht bel\u00fcfteten AV-Racks kann sich dieser Effekt noch verst\u00e4rken.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1627\">Zum Beispiel:<br data-start=\"1420\" data-end=\"1423\" \/>Ein SFP+ 10G-Modul in einer Eventlocation, das Tag und Nacht 4K-Livevideo \u00fcbertr\u00e4gt, zeigt deutlich schneller Verschlei\u00dferscheinungen als dasselbe Modul in einem B\u00fcro, wo es nur gelegentlich genutzt wird.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n        <div id=\"topic4\" class=\"skip-item\">\n                        <h2>Geringere Fehlertoleranz bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten<\/h2>\n                <p data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"2028\">AV-over-IP-Netzwerke arbeiten oft am Rande des technisch Machbaren.<br data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1766\" \/>Eine 10G-Verbindung, die f\u00fcr die Video\u00fcbertragung bis an ihre Grenze belastet wird, l\u00e4sst kaum Spielraum f\u00fcr Fehler.<br data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1885\" \/>Schon eine geringe Verschlechterung des Moduls \u2013 etwa ein R\u00fcckgang der Laserleistung \u2013 kann zu Paketverlusten oder Verbindungsabbr\u00fcchen f\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2030\" data-end=\"2157\">In klassischen IT-Netzen gibt es in der Regel mehr Puffer und Fehlerkorrekturen, sodass kleinere Abnutzungen unbemerkt bleiben.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n        <div id=\"topic5\" class=\"skip-item\">\n                        <h2>Die Umgebung spielt eine Rolle<\/h2>\n                <p data-start=\"2204\" data-end=\"2526\">AV-Installationen befinden sich nicht immer unter idealen Bedingungen.<br data-start=\"2274\" data-end=\"2277\" \/>Denken Sie an einen <em data-start=\"2297\" data-end=\"2305\">Switch<\/em>, der hinter einer LED-Wand in einem Theater installiert ist \u2013 mit hei\u00dfen Scheinwerfern, staubiger Luft und schwankenden Temperaturen.<br data-start=\"2439\" data-end=\"2442\" \/>Solche Umgebungen k\u00f6nnen den Verschlei\u00df von Glasfasermodulen deutlich beschleunigen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2528\" data-end=\"2656\">Im Gegensatz dazu bieten Rechenzentren stabile Temperaturen und gefilterte Luft \u2013 ein viel freundlicheres data-end=\"3076\">AV-over-IP-Netzwerke stellen Glasfasermodule auf eine harte Probe.<br data-start=\"2744\" data-end=\"2747\" \/>Die Kombination aus kontinuierlicher Belastung, hohen Datenraten, W\u00e4rmestau und suboptimalen Umgebungsbedingungen f\u00fchrt dazu, dass diese Module schneller verschlei\u00dfen als in herk\u00f6mmlichen IT-Netzwerken.<br data-start=\"2949\" data-end=\"2952\" \/>Das bedeutet jedoch nicht, dass sie unzuverl\u00e4ssig sind \u2013 aber sie ben\u00f6tigen <strong data-start=\"3028\" data-end=\"3076\">mehr Aufmerksamkeit und regelm\u00e4\u00dfige
