Sprint NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot Review #SprintMom
By Yolanda Machado
Sure enough… just over an hour in traffic, I heard very little complaints. I was so loving it. The NETGEAR is small but fierce and even kept working in the hills, canyons and on and off on the beach (which is totally normal here).

Staying Connected with the NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot from Sprint #SprintMom
By Sippy Cup Mom
I first used the Netgear Zing Mobile Hotspot from Sprint a few weeks ago while I picked my son up from school and then headed to two doctor’s appointments in the afternoon. I am always frustrated when we visit our local children’s hospital because there is absolutely no signal there. I popped the Mobile Hotspot into my purse and had no problem staying connected and getting work done while my son played in the waiting room.

Connect Anywhere You Go with NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot
By Melissa
I'm so excited to finally be able to shout from the rooftops that I'm a Sprint Ambassador through Mom Central! I feel so honored to be one of the lucky Bloggers chosen for this fantastic opportunity and I can't wait to share all of their latest and greatest with you! …This first device is something I never would have thought I needed. That is, until I did get it and it ended up actually saving my work day a couple of weeks later! Our internet service was blacked out for an entire day last week. I was frantic, literally going crazy. Without internet, I cannot work. It's the plain and simple truth. Then I remembered the NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot that I just received from Sprint. I hooked my laptop up to its wi-fi and was able to get to work! I swear, it literally saved my sanity and I'm sure any one of you who works online can relate!

Netgear’s Gateway Goes ‘Headless’
By Jeff Baumgartner
A new “headless” gateway from Netgear that can be customized to serve either cable operators or telcos will place the CE company in head-on competition with Arris and other set-top suppliers as service providers carve out their IP video transition strategies. Netgear’s HMG7000, being shown off at the IBC Conference in Amsterdam, is headless in the sense that it does not support direct video outputs. Instead, it’s made to be deployed in basements, garages, and other out-of-site places, take in the service signals from the operator and then redistribute them to IP client devices, legacy QAM set-tops, and connected smart TVs, tablets and other video devices hanging off the home network.

Project Horsepower Pulls Together Partnerships for Barrington 220 Students
By Gloria Casas
The Project Horsepower will be the first of its kind in Illinois and may become a model for other school districts. The project brings together the District, Comcast, NetGear and the Barrington Area Development Council (BADC) to help bridge the digital divide. …The Board of Education has made a commitment to finance technology initiatives but BADC, Netgear and Comcast are making those efforts a reality, he said. …BADC is helping with the funding so families will receive Internet access for free through the District and Comcast’s Internet Essentials. Netgear is providing free WiFi routers. Comcast is also providing the modem, wireless gateway installation and customer support, officials said.

NETGEAR ReadyNAS RN516 Reviewed
By Tim Higgins
We're wrapping up our coverage of NETGEAR's new ReadyNASes with its top-of-line ReadyNAS 516. (If you're interested in the 516's less-expensive siblings, check the RN104 and RN300 series reviews.) You can think of the RN516 as a more powerful (and expensive) version of the Intel Atom powered RN316. The spec comparison chart below shows the key differences betwen the two are more memory (4 GB ECC vs. 2 GB) and a more powerful CPU (Intel i3-3220 vs. D2700 Atom). The RN516 is the only new ReadyNAS that is i3 based; there are no two or four-bay versions available.

NETGEAR ProSafe XS708E 8-Port 10Gbe Switch Review
By Sean Kailinch
In the world of the enterprise bandwidth is everything. If you do not have enough or you cannot keep your systems running then you are sure to lose money. The problem is getting the bandwidth you need without spending too much to get it. The current backbone to client standard is 1Gbe (Gigabit Ethernet). This give you plenty of bandwidth for client operations as well as voice traffic (which is typically about 20% of your data usage. Now this is great when you are talking about client to server traffic, but what happens when you need servers to talk to each other or servers to talk to storage?

Netgear NeoTV Max Media Streamer
By Barb Gonzalez
The NeoTV Max has the features you’d expect on a $100 player, but it’s priced at $70. While the direct-play buttons make it easy to use, menus crowded with channel options can become visually confusing to a novice. Still, this is the first media streamer with WiDi. If you have wanted to wirelessly connect your computer to your TV, this may be the way.
