Surviving Hurricane Country (5/23/2007)

Working in the lightning and hurricane capital of the world, also known as FLORIDA, I am always challenged with restarting and resetting switches in small businesses because of power failure or a dead backup battery. Using a Netgear smart switch with a GUI interface, after having a dead backup battery (belonging to a cheap...I mean frugal customer) go completely dead for too long a downtime, I was able to remotely restart the switch and get the office back up and running within minutes...with enough time left to enjoy the NBA playoffs and my three boys. Now that's efficiency!
