Senior Software Engineer

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Responsible for performing core development on Netgear's digital entertainer, including its software architecture to enhance its performance and maintainability. Create and maintain our EPG data server as well as develop GUIs for multiplatform environments (Windows and Linux). Work closely with AQ staff to improve the reliability of our company's digital entertainer. Work closely with end-users and managers to resolve computer and technical problems.

Requires a M.S. or equivalent in CS/EE or related and 3 years experience.

Experience must include: C/C++; multi-thread, real time programming; Linux programming and configuration; algorithm, database and samba; Windows SDK and DDK; http, ftp, dhcp, ntp, Tcp/Udp; socket programming under both Linux and Windows; perl and shell script, including ksh, csh, bsh, sed, awk; remote control programming and IR coding, Wireless/WAP; GUI
